The Wall - Research and Rationale

Notes upon re-reading the brief:

Who are you talking to?

How to represent your music and message - Think about how type could creatively represent your music or the message of the lyrics.
Think about what you could say, how you could say it, and what type you say it with.
One other touchpoint* *Your touchpoint could be anything: a band t-shirt, graffitied guitar, publication, digital experience, Out of Home, banners, moving image ads or other online promotions, etc. Think beyond the obvious, but keep in mind what’s relevant to your target audience—and what would make the most impact—something that embodies the music (and cause) as a jumping-off point.
The more innovative, the better.

The message of The Wall is that as a society, it is all of our responsibilities to break down the walls that separate us and to help those in need. For this reason, this project not only talks to people who are effected by mental health, but also all those people who know someone who is, a call to arms to communicate and break down these walls just by talking to people.
The reason this project encourages people to reach out and to talk to people is because in my research that is what I have found is suggested, and is often most effective.

So how does this link to the design I’ve done? - I have created very bold typographic design aesthetic for this campaign. Using Google Fonts’ ‘Orbitron Varaible’, the main copy of this campaign is ‘Tear Down The Wall’ a lyric from one of the final songs from the Wall. This very geometric sans serif font is used to embody the wall, stretching and spanning to fit the whole composition. However, the strength and boldness of this type also makes the tone of voice louder - reaching out. This idea of tearing down the wall was originally visually represented by lines coming from a single point like light, representing a crack in the wall, and the other side being light and overall better, but I don’t think this is clear enough, So how can I visually represent this?
