Out of Context - Exhibition branding research

The Exploratorium - Inflatable Summer Campaign - This visual identity by Collins for an exhibition of inflatable sculptures communicates the subject of the exhibition instantaneously. The large bright bubble typography is the primary component of the identity; its bold, eye catching and functional, adapting and filling the space of whatever format or collateral it appears on. The rest of the identity is a lot more subtle and uniform, appearing in the same blue and white colour palette, it is secondary to the captivating inflated type. This campaign is so effective because the design is so astute and evocative of the exhibition that it is branding.
